…the verse clearly describes that the power for what we do must come from the Holy Spirit, that we are people who are dependent upon the Spirit of God for any character of our own lives and effectiveness of our ministries. We are people who must seek after the Spirit, the filling of the Spirit, to walk in the Spirit, to be led by the Spirit. My own personal leadership is no better than the level of the influence of the Spirit of God through me. Who is The Alliance? Well one way that you can describe us would be we are a Christ-centered, Acts 1:8 family.

Alliance Missions Done Well versus Missions Done Poorly

John Stumbo (President of the Christian & Missionary Alliance) shares six points to illustrate missions done well versus missions done poorly. Missions done poorly is about “us.” The Alliance is committed to doing missions well, which involves incarnational ministry that ensures the local, indigenous church’s sustained ownership and brings lasting fruit. John Stumbo reminds us that missions isn’t about us getting to do something meaningful. The goal of missions is lasting fruit. “Missions done well” embraces a solid system of financial and strategic accountability; it establishes strong networks of reproducing local churches; and it is sustainable. The Alliance is committed to doing missions well until our King returns and our mission is complete. Watch the video below for more about how the Christian & Missionary Alliance is doing ministry around the world.
