The River Rock Women of Purpose group is starting a new Bible study series in February. They will be using the following DVD series and study guide as part of their group discussion time. It’s United Way time at many workplaces. United Way provides funds to help people, sometimes in ways in which we all would agree and other times in ways in which we would not choose to do so. There is a way to ensure that your United Way donations can be designated to be used in Belle Plaine through River Rock Church’s Benevolent Fund. You simply designate that you want your United Way donation to go to River Rock Church in Belle Plaine, MN. There is a small fee that is deducted for administrating this. They send a check to River Rock Church and we can use it when people come to use with real, financial needs. Right now, we many times must turn people down as there is little to no money left in our benevolent fund. If you choose to give to United Way, consider having your money used right here in the Belle Plaine area through designating your gift to River Rock Church.
Many women who come to the SVABW are in need of diapers for their children. Thank you to those who helped us share the love of Christ by donating diapers in any size or brand. The Diaper Dump concluded with a women’s gathering Thursday night August 18 where we they shared food and fellowship. That night the women brought diaper bag items such as wipes or bibs and filled diaper bags to donate when they delivered the diapers. For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all….” II Corinthians 5:14
